Alternative Technology to Distribute Citrix WANScaler
Agreement extends Alternative Technology’s offering in the fast-growing market for WAN optimization, accelerating application delivery for branch offices worldwide
Englewood, CO., September 12, 2006 – Alternative Technology, the leading specialty distributor of application delivery, thin-client/server-based computing, edge infrastructure, and Government-approved security solutions, today announced that it will be the exclusive North American distributor to market Citrix® WANScaler™ throughout the remainder of 2006.
Citrix WANScaler provides high performance WAN optimization and application acceleration to reduce user wait times and improve throughput across wide area networks, with up to 400% application response time improvement and a 200x increase in throughput. Citrix WANScaler offers a completely transparent, end-to-end WAN acceleration solution that encompasses data centers, remote offices, home offices and mobile workers, and supports up to 300 branch offices and WAN throughput up to 500 Mbps. The transparent nature of the solution eliminates the need for any changes to current network management tools, firewalls, network services or applications.
