Marathon Technologies
Marathon’s everRun® software is for IT professionals at midsize companies who want to prevent outages and data loss in their physical and virtual infrastructures. everRun provides fault-tolerant, high-availability for Windows Server and Citrix XenServer to deliver uninterrupted availability, 100% data protection, and rapid recovery—all through “one-click” operation. Unlike bolt-on failover, cluster, or data replication products that place the burden of availability and disaster recovery on the IT professional, Marathon everRun software products are completely automated. They eliminate the availability burden and make HA and DR practical for midsize companies that don’t have an army of IT people.

Corporate Overview
Marathon Technologies was founded in 1993 by senior executives and engineers responsible for developing Digital’s VAX FT fault-tolerant systems. The team used this experience to create the first software and networking technology that allowed multiple Windows/Intel servers to operate as a single fault-tolerant system.
The company migrated its technology in 2004 to a software-only product (everRun®) that works with standard off-the-shelf x86 Intel and AMD servers with Windows Server 2003 and unmodified Windows applications. In 2007, the company announced its v-Available product initiative, designed to fill a big gap in the market for effective high-availability software for virtual servers. In the spring of 2008 the company released everRun VM for Citrix XenServerTM, the first in the series of v-Available products from Marathon that are so simple, transparent and effective that every application can have high availability and disaster recovery protection.
