Partner Program
Marathon launched the v-Available initiative to fill the void left by today’s high-availability offerings for virtual environments. Virtualization brings many benefits, but it also dramatically increases the need for rock-solid availability. Why? Because server consolidation can result in the server becoming the single point-of-failure for multiple applications, so the implications of downtime are much greater.
Marathon’s v-Available Partner Program is a new, innovative channel program designed to help drive mainstream adoption of server virtualization and availability in the broader marketplace. Members enrolled in this program will have access to a suite of new everRun products specifically designed to protect virtual machines. Further, partners will be qualified in integrating availability technology into virtual environments.
Requirements:
Potential partners will need to meet the profile requirements of our Infinity Partner Program and have demonstrative expertise in both availability and virtualization solutions; specifically, experience offering server virtualization products and services for standard x86 platforms. Prospective partners will also need to have a current base of customers that fall into what Marathon Technologies has defined as the mid-market sector: companies with annual revenues between $100M–$2.0B. Driving virtualization and availability into the mainstream IT market is the common goal of Marathon and its partners. Other profile requirements include: an established practice of high value-add to customers, the ability to differentiate offerings with virtualization expertise, and a proven track record selling to central IT staffs in midsize to large enterprises.
The v-Available Partner Program is an adjunct to Marathon’s Infinity Partner Program.
Current partners will need to qualify. Only partners who meet the eligibility requirements for this program will be accepted. Qualified Partners will sign a Memo of Understanding (MOU) in addition to the standard Marathon Reseller Agreement. Marathon Technologies will limit the number of Elite and Preferred v-Available partners in this program.
The v-Available Certification Process
Partner certification requirements include:
- Execute the Marathon Reseller Agreement (RSA) and become an Infinity Partner
- Assign a committed “Champion” or direct point-of-contact for each area - Sales Management, Pre-sales and Technical Support function
- Participate in annual training (online/self-paced, covering sales and pre-sales training)
- Attend annual “Tech Certification” training—at least (1) technical partner contact
- Complete an annual Strategic Business Development Plan and Marketing Plan (completed jointly)
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews
