- .print Server Engine
Generally speaking, in larger Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Services systems with more than three terminal servers, it is typical to move the entire print process to a server dedicated specifically for printing. The advantages of doing this include centralizing print management administration, freeing up terminal servers from print data processing, increasing number of possible users per server, and improving system stability. The overall performance spectrum of the .print technology is also available for this architecture. Together with the .print Application Server Engine, print data generated on a print server can also be embedded in the ICA or RDP virtual channel.

- Also Available: .print Server Engine 64-bit
You do not have to limit yourself to terminal servers to use the .print technology in your 64 bit environments. Here, too, running dedicated print servers brings the usual advantages by relieving application servers. The 64 bit version of .print Server Engine also ensures a clear increase in performance for centralized print processing and allows the setup of many more printer queues per print server.

- .print Extension Pack
All versions of the Remote Desktop Suite are available as complete solution with extension packs for adding more CALs (Client Access Licenses) for Microsoft Terminal Services. The Extension Pack lets each version of the Remote Desktop Suite be tailored to your requirements by adding 5 more users or end devices.
- .print Virtual Desktop Engine
The solution for small and mid-sized companies that use VMware Infrastructure 3 software to optimize and simplify printing. In virtual environments, printing capabilities end due to the necessary print drivers that are firmly linked to the hardware operating system. .print Virtual Desktop Engine solves this problem by using DRIVER FREE PRINTING technology designed to cut dependence from hardware, operating systems, applications and physical location by promoting universal access - regardless of location and its connection to the network and bandwidth optimization capabilities – compressing print data down to 1% of original size. Printing is limitless, fast and simple!

- Desktop Blade Engine
The Blade PC architecture is becoming increasingly popular for businesses because of their compact construction, enormous power density and high computing power, as well as a high level of scalability and flexibility. This architecture is also increasingly being considered an alternative to Windows terminal server solutions. If the individual blade PCs are installed with Windows XP Professional, a connection can be established to each of these computers via the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). This solution provides the full ThinPrint .print functionality for the employment in CCI environments (Consolidated Client Infrastructure). The license package includes licenses for up to 40 Blade PCs.

- .print Queue Manager
.print Queue Manager is the ideal add-on for Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Service environments. It offers practical settings for individual printer queues, like the number and intervals of retries for print jobs and the timeframe available for them. .print Queue Manager is available in versions for both application servers and for use with dedicated print servers.

- .print Connected Gateway
.print Connected Gateway is another handy add-on for Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Service environments. As a supplemental component to the .print Engine, it is an ideal solution for easy, fast and inexpensive connection of remote offices. It lets you send print data via TCP/IP to a client gateway, even if the gateway is hidden behind a masked network (e.g., behind a router with Network Address Translation). In this case, the client gateway connects with the Connection Service on the server and therefore guarantees print data transmission.

- .print Host Integration Service
.print Host Integration Service offers a flexible solution for the integration of host print streams into Microsoft Terminal Services or Citrix XenApp environments. The Host Integration Service identifies the correct RDP or ICA user session on the server and receives print data via LPD from the host computer.

New Licensing Models for .print 7.6
In conjecture with the release of .print 7.6, ThinPrint introduces an alternative license model option where the purchase of .print licenses is based on users rather than the previous server-based licensing. The availability of two license models thus guarantees fair and cost-effective licensing in every environment where .print technology is used. Both license models are available permanently.
- Server-based Licensing
Server-based licensing remains largely unchanged. The Application Server Engine is still one license per server. However, licensing has been improved for the Server Engine. Instead of installing one Application Server Engine license on each server accessing a Server Engine, an “Access License” is provided with each Application Server Engine purchase. This “Access License” can be installed and activated directly on the server running the Server Engine. Customers updating from older version will also receive the necessary keys.
Server-based licensing remains the recommended model for server-based computing. Licensing for components like .print Queue Manager or .print Host Integration Service remains unchanged.
- User-based Licensing
User-based licensing is designed for single-server environments with few users or multi-server environments with at least one dedicated print server. Thus, new licenses are available: “Basic Pack” which provides 10 initial users for an application or print server. Both are available in 32 and 64 bit and can be extended in user packages of 10, 20, 50 and 100 users. User-based licensing is also suitable for all scenarios outside of server-based computing and must be used for Web Application, client/server architectures, WAN optimization, etc.
