Thin Computing Software
Wyse software maximizes the security, manageability, affordability, and reliability of your server-centric environment. Products included in this family are Wyse Thin OS, Wyse Device Manager (formerly Rapport), Wyse Streaming Manager & Wyse TCX.
- Wyse Thin OS
Wyse Thin OS is ideal for departments and organizations that need support for Citrix ICA, Microsoft RDP, VMware VDI, or Wyse Enterprise Desktop Virtualization environments. It delivers a fast boot time, virus and malware immunity, and outstanding performance in a thin-computing environment.
Wyse Thin OS offers the utmost security and protection from viruses and malicious software because the operating system does not have a publicly exposed API that can be exploited by hackers. Also, since Wyse Thin OS centrally stores and manages all data and applications, desktop devices store no data, further protecting sensitive information. Image management is automated via DHCP and FTP, while Wyse Device Manager (formerly Rapport) handles additional remote device management. For more information download the Wyse Thin OS datasheet.
- Wyse Device Manager

Wyse™ Device Manager device management software, standard with every Winterm thin client, centrally controls a world of intelligent devices - local and remote, wired and mobile, desktop and handheld. It simplifies IT management, reduces TCO, and improves ROI. It is a single software platform that manages a full range of devices - from desktop and tablet thin clients to Palm™ and Pocket PC handheld devices, including PDAs, scanners and other mobile devices. For more information download the Device Manager datasheet.
- Wyse Streaming Manager

Wyse™ Streaming Manager uses streaming technology to deliver software on demand to stateless computing devices. It delivers the power and flexibility of a PC to the user, while giving IT the manageability they want from a thin-computing infrastructure.
Wyse Streaming Manager allows customers to standardize operating system images across their organization and deliver applications based on user roles and responsibilities. Administrators can easily provision new applications or updates to existing applications without having to modify the operating system image, giving them granular control to ensure consistency of deployed software across the enterprise. Download the Streaming Manager datasheet for all the benefits.
- Wyse TCX

Wyse's vision is to provide customers with thin computing benefits without any compromises on the end user experience. Wyse TCX is the cornerstone to delivering on this vision. It provides an "Enrichment" component within the thin computing infrastructure during the access to corporate applications -- irrespective of the backend infrastructure used to access them.
There are a number of different components in this overall brand of solutions that are being developed by Wyse. All Wyse TCX solutions are agnostic of the backend infrastructure so customers can get access to this solution when they are connecting to any of the following datacenter solutions prevalent in the market: Microsoft Terminal Services, Citrix Presentation Server and VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
The following components are now available:
- Wyse TCX Multimedia
Wyse TCX Multimedia 2.0 software provides rich multimedia playback capabilities within an ICA or RDP environment. TCX Multimedia is a software layer on the server that intelligently redirects the multimedia processing tasks dynamically between the client and server. The multimedia stream decodes locally on the client using the local processing power of the device thereby providing complete multimedia playback capabilities overcoming any limitations that are inherent in traditional thin computing architectures. The Wyse TCX multimedia reduces the server load as well as the network bandwidth as the streams can be directly delivered to the client from a local media server rather than through the datacenter. For more information download the Wyse TCX Multimedia datasheet.
- Wyse TCX Multi-display
Wyse TCX Multi-display 1.1 streamlines the user experience of an end-user while working across multiple screens within a ICA/RDP connection. Wyse TCX multi-display software is deployed on the server side and a client side component is deployed in the local operating system on the client side.
The solution works in the "span" mode i.e. a RDP/ICA desktop connection that is extended so that the same desktop is spread across 4 monitors. Wyse TCX Multi-display software provides the windowing capabilities that makes the desktop multiple monitor aware. In version 1.1, the TCX Multi-display software is made and restricted to Wyse device use only. The software makes sure that the maximization of a window within the desktop is limited to only 1 screen (rather than across both screens without Wyse TCX software) and the dialog boxes/popup windows are also centered on the appropriate window. Wyse TCX software provides the same user experience as that of a local XP Pro session on a PC with 2 or 4 monitors enabled. For more information download the Wyse TCX Multi-display datasheet.
- Wyse TCX USB Virtualizer
Wyse TCX USB Virtualizer 1.0 is a revolutionary software solution that enables the sharing and discovery of local USB devices plugged into Wyse thin clients as if they were connected directly on the Virtualized Desktop environment. The extraordinary enhancement solves the USB peripheral issues when it comes to deploying thin clients. No more compromise on limited local drivers. The Wyse thin clients now can seamlessly access their USB-based printers, scanners, storage devices, Palm, BlackBerry, and Pocket PC handÂhelds over VDI environment The enhancement is available for Wyse Thin OS and XP Embedded platforms. For more information download the Wyse TCX USB Virtualizer datasheet.
