Zeus Load Balancer is a powerful load balancer that grows with your customers' traffic management needs. It is a cost-effective starting point for adding load balancing and resilience to your services, with a smooth upgrade path to scale as services grow.

Zeus Load Balancer may be upgraded to the Zeus Traffic Manager at any time. Zeus Load Balancer can be deployed in a variety of ways: (1) as software for Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD servers, (2) as virtual appliances for VMware and Microsoft virtualization platforms, and (3) as a dedicated hardware appliance based on a compact, energy-efficient SunFire server from Sun Microsystems. Its rich capabilities bring great flexibility and fine-grained application layer control.

Resilient Load Balancing

Zeus Load Balancer allows network administrators to create a fully fault-tolerant cluster of server machines by protecting against failures of back-end server nodes and front-end load balancer units.

Performance, Reliability and Scalability

Zeus Load Balancer improves the performance, reliability and scalability of networked and web-enabled applications through a combination of SSL and WAN offload, content compression, performance and health monitoring, and automatic failover in the event of hardware or software failure. CPU-intensive processing such as SSL can be offloaded onto Zeus Load Balancer to free up application servers, such as BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere, to do their own specialist tasks, greatly enhancing their performance and your return on investment.
