What is GSA?

General Services Administration (GSA) refers to the agency of the U.S. Federal Government that manages purchasing. When a company applies for and gets onto the GSA Schedule, it means they have been approved as a vendor, and have committed to specific terms and pricing. Our GSA Schedule is a “Distribution GSA Schedule” and allows for vendor authorized VARs to become teaming partners on our schedule. In no way does our GSA Schedule interfere with VARs that may already have their own GSA Schedule.
The idea behind this type of schedule is that we are in a better position of rewarding those VARs that promote, market and ultimately sell an approved solution (or set of products) to their government contacts because the government allows the VARs to make a predetermined amount of gross profit.
Why does Arrow ECS Alternative Technology Group participate in GSA?
Arrow ECS Alternative Technology Group’s GSA program allows vendor partners and VARs to participate on our GSA schedule. AT’s primary focus is to capture government and security related opportunities. The program entails working with many VARs across the country that are actively engaged in both the state and local markets as well as VARS that have a value added focus to federal government agencies.
This schedule will allow authorized resellers with state and local customers to procure products off of our GSA schedule. There is a growing segment of our reseller community that can reap the benefits of this program.
